RUOVESI | Siikaneva, which covers more than 10 square kilometers, is the largest contiguous swampland in Pirkanmaa and the most important protected swamp site in the province. Siikaneva, which is mainly a state nature reserve and a private sanctuary, is for the most part a natural swampland. The area is especially suitable for day trips when snow-free. The nature of the area, e.g. its diverse birdlife, can be observed from the ring routes built in the swamp. The marked routes are 2.5 and 10 kilometers long. The area can be reached by car. The ring routes start and end in the parking area. Siikaneva is located on the west side of the main road 66, 19 kilometers north of Ruovesi. •
